The Buttery

The Buttery is situated just outside the main house and overlooks a charming courtyard to the front and the lawns and the river to the rear. It features a kitchen-sitting room area with open fire place, a twin bedroom, and a state-of-the-art en-suite.

It’s a cosy room, warm and inviting in the colder months but open to the wonderful outdoors during the spring and summer.

we had a wonderful two days in this wonderful place. Evening meal on the terrace watching the sunset over the river with the geese strolling in was superb and so tranquil after a difficult drive up. Jean and her team have thought of everything and nothing was missing. The large dining room table also enabled conversation between guests. Walks in the area include one along the river .
