The Carrick Fox Room

A delightful room, bedded with a double and a single to make this a great option for parents with a young child. The room is dedicated to John’s great aunt, Ethel Carrick Fox, the famous post impressionist artist who was active throughout the early part of the twentieth century. The house as a whole features examples of her paintings but this room pays special homage. Touches of art nouveau echo her work and her era. The outlook takes in the garden and there is a feature wash unit with the private shower room just a fifteen second walk up the hallway.

We stayed at Carricks for a long weekend to celebrate my wife’s birthday; with our two Vizsla’s in tow. The B&B now has a brand new refurbished room on an annex to the main house complete with en-suite shower room, kitchenette, wood-burning stove, a timber floor and plush furniture with dog-covers.

The whole experience was fabulous and the extensive size of the room really helps if you have large and energetic dogs as we do with plenty of space outside too and of course the wider farm estate to walk and explore. The room is beautifully appointed and practical too with the kitchenette giving you the flexibility to self-cater if you want to.
